Registration is underway for MTC's Summer Theatre Day Camp!

MTC offers 6 weeks of theatre arts summer camp for ages 7-12. Campers can attend half day, or stay for the full day and go swimming at Marilla Pool. Dates and themes for Summer 2010 are:

Week 1, 7/12 - 7/16
STEEL DRUMS: CB Studios invites young people to experience an introduction to the steel drum by playing music and discovering building and tuning concepts in a hands-on environment. Learn about the history of the Steel Drum and participate in a Carnival celebration.

Week 2, 7/19 - 7/23
PUPPET PLAYHOUSE: Become a puppet master! Try your hand at making and operating a variety of puppets. Then, see your creations come to life when you perform a puppet play!

Week 3, 7/26 – 7/30
WONDERFUL WORLD OF DISNEY: Be a part of your favorite Disney musical! We will learn songs and dances from popular Disney films such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, and more!

Week 4, 8/2 - 8/6
SUMMERTIME STUDIOS: Ever wished you could be on TV? Here’s your chance! Create your own game shows, talk shows, soap operas and commercials then perform in front of a live studio audience!

Week 5, 8/9 - 8/13
PIRATE ADVENTURES: Ahoy mateys! It’s time to have a grand adventure on the high seas! Explore the art of stage combat and swordplay as you create your own pirate tale.

Week 6, 8/16 - 8/20
STORIES TO SKITS: See your favorite story come to life. You will be in charge of all aspects of your production. Write a script, create props, and select costumes that will make your characters come alive.
